SUMMARY

Seeking a hands-on Team Lead with mechanical expertise and a background in heavy-duty truck parts to oversee operations in a production setting. This role requires a strong understanding of truck parts and their interactions, along with experience using rivet machines and hydraulic presses. The Team Lead will play a key role in training, mentoring, and supporting the production team while ensuring workflow efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Set daily team goals and communicate expectations to staff.

Foster a welcoming and engaging work environment, assisting new hires with onboarding, shadowing, and company policies.

Train and mentor new team members, including both temporary and direct hires.

Provide coaching to existing employees and ensure alignment with production goals.

Prepare hourly reports and relay workflow updates to supervisors.

Recognize and communicate individual and team accomplishments to promote morale and growth.

Address attendance, punctuality, and performance concerns with leadership.

Step in to cover absences to maintain smooth operations.

Organize and maintain records, retrieving information as necessary.

Monitor and restock basic supplies in coordination with office staff.

Operate and maintain hydraulic press and rivet machines daily.

Ensure proper assembly and kitting of OEM and non-OEM parts.

Perform occasional welding and grinding (both by hand and with power tools).

Manage order processing and inventory of production parts.

Collaborate with purchasing, inventory, and other departments to streamline operations.

Perform data entry and maintain spreadsheets in Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years of experience as a truck, car or motorcycle mechanic.

Hands-on experience with rivet machines and hydraulic presses.

Strong working knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts and pneumatic systems.

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

ASE certification is a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish) required.
