Looking for sewing help and periodic personal errands on a part-time basis that may grow into increased hours.
This is a small, established business that makes custom window treatments. You need to know - hand-sewing, operating commercial sewing machines, cutting, pressing and pinning fabrics. We may be in customers’ homes for measuring and delivering finished products for installation, so a casual/neat appearance is required.
At times, you may need to drive to customers and designers to pick-up/deliver fabrics or finished window treatments, and on occasion, run personal errands to assist the owner (i.e., running to the post office, grabbing thank you cards) using a company car.
Most of the business is local (Rumson/Fair Haven, NJ area), but periodically we go into surrounding areas.
You need to be reliable, optimistic, take pride in your work and enjoy what you're doing. While most of the work is not heavy, you should be able to lift 30 lbs.
This is currently a home-based business in Keansburg that will grow and move into its’ own commercial workspace.
It is part-time starting at around 8-10 hours per week (12 - 4:00 or 5:00) and would be split into 2 days. There’s flexibility in scheduling when you work and pay will be determined based on your experience.
If this sounds interesting and you enjoy working with beautiful fabrics and in gorgeous homes, I’d love to hear from you! Please send an email to Mick Christian at [email protected] detailing your experience.
