The Opportunity:
Elevate your career as an Artisan of fine leather goods. This distinguished role offers the unparalleled opportunity to spearhead handmade excellence in the fashion luxury space. This role is dedicated to the handmade execution of watch straps on-site in our Jersey City Atelier. Collaborate seamlessly with our accomplished team, where your skill and attention to detail will be instrumental in launching bespoke and ready-to-wear products.
Your Responsibilities:
Create and assemble luxury watch straps by hand at our Atelier de Maroquinerie.
Execute with precision and great attention to detail for top quality.
Utilize special tools and machines as needed throughout the production process.
Master the techniques to craft high-quality accessories.
Ensure accuracy when cutting and sewing.
Maintain quality control across projects.
Maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
Coordinate with team members to ensure timely delivery of products.
Provide excellent customer service during client consultations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
Experience as a leather craftsperson sewing leather and making small leather goods.
Familiar with a full range of materials and fabrics including calf, vegan leather, exotic leather, rubber, etc.
Adept at pattern making.
Skilled at hand cutting.
Proficient at leather edge paint.
Ability to execute complicated bespoke orders with precision and skill.
High degree of attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.
Passion for the art and refinement of handmade luxury leather goods.
Ability to solve problems creatively.
Efficient with time and project management.
Deep desire to make a positive impact and build something meaningful.
Must already be authorized to work in the USA.
