American Industrial Supply is seeking a highly motivated Warehouse associate who is responsible, timely and organized. We are a supplier of industrial products throughout the tristate area.

Summary: Packs orders for customers and puts incoming materials into inventory. Keeps the warehouse and pipe yard clean, orderly and in proper working condition by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Bags and boxes orders in an accurate and timely fashion according to American Industrial Supply Company standards and special customer requests.

2. Pulls orders and if material is found in the wrong bin, puts it in the proper bin.

3. Counts stock and puts it in the proper shelf, bin or rack.

4. Throws away cardboard in the designated box section or cardboard dumpster.

5. Sweeps floors and keeps bins and shelves clean.

6. Changes light bulbs as needed.

7. Puts pallet in the proper place as determined by the Warehouse Manager.

8. Maintains the short list and notifies the Warehouse Manager and Purchasing Manager of any shortages.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to use basic functions of a computer.

Certificates and Licenses:

Fork Lift Training and Certification within six months of employment, if you have that it is a plus.
