BACKGROUND

In 1948, the sons of Joseph and Carmela Stavola founded Stavola Contracting Co., the first Stavola Company. Today, Stavola Companies remain a family-owned and operated business, consisting of four major divisions: Asphalt and Recycling Materials, Construction Materials, Contracting (heavy highway construction) and Real Estate, all located in New Jersey. What started as a company offering basement excavation and driveway paving now has 3 quarries in NJ, 2 quarries in PA, 9 asphalt plants, 3 recycling centers, and several gravel mining operations.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

This position will support all aspects and stages of the Sales Department, working internally with the Sales, Billing, Credit and Dispatch departments along with direct dealings with the customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Prepares sales quotes and sends to customer, receive and activate quote. Obtain tax certificate if applicable. Process requests for submittal information.

Preview daily dispatch schedule and assure order accuracy.

Review daily sales activity for billing corrections.

Receive and prepare material bids, includes ordering bid bond, obtaining pricing from Sales Manager, preparing documents for signature and timely submission to the Municipality, County or Agency. Process receipt of Contract, obtain signature, and return. Prepare quote in system per award.

Coordinate mass mailing of annual quotes, letters or notifications to customers.

Reviews daily Bid Posting in CIS, searches for new bids and enters in Public Bids worksheet. Notify Sales Team of upcoming NJDOT, NJTA and PANYNJ bids.

Register salesmen for various corporate events, hotel arrangements, coordinate sponsorships, place ads, etc. Process miscellaneous donations.

REQUIREMENTS

1+ years data entry experience preferred but not required

Good verbal and written communication skills

General computer knowledge

Detailed oriented

Ability to multi-task

Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Able to communicate effectively with government agencies, subcontractors, customers, employees, and management.

EDUCATION

High school diploma, GED or equivalent
