You will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods, managing communication with drivers and customers, and maintaining accurate records. Duties:
- Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of drivers for pickups and deliveries
- Monitor driver activities and provide real-time updates to customers
- Communicate with drivers to ensure on-time arrivals and resolve any issues or delays
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management to track shipments and update information
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize routes, minimize costs, and improve overall efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery confirmations, and customer interactions
- Assist with fleet management tasks, such as vehicle maintenance scheduling and fuel tracking Skills:
- Strong knowledge of transportation management practices and procedures
- Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) such as AS400 or Oracle Transportation Management
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of supply chain and logistics processes - Familiarity with fleet management principles
