Job description
A ‘Class A’ Quality Technician will ensure the quality & precision of CNC-machined components for aerospace, medical and commercial applications. This senior role demands expertise in mechanical inspection, CMM programming, and AS9100D compliance, with a focus on tight tolerances (down to ±0.0003”). You’ll collaborate across teams, lead quality efforts during manager absences, and drive excellence in a dynamic job shop environment.
Responsibilities
- Reads and interpret blueprints and travelers to inspect complex, tight-tolerance parts.
- Verify part conformance using calipers, micrometers, and DCC CMMs (tolerances down to ±0.0003” precision).
- Sign off on 1st piece inspection and or in process inspections when parts are acceptable.
- When required program and operate CMM/Keyence systems for new part setups.
- When required Prepare AS9100D FAI reports for military/medical clients.
- Schedule 7am- 3:30pm Monday- Friday
Skills
- CMM & Keyence system programming skills is required
- Proficient in PC-DIMS Software is a highly preferred.
- Experience with programming, setup, and operation of CMMs.
- Experience in the aerospace industry and knowledge of Quality Control requirements and/or AS9100 is a plus.
- Must be proficient with inspection tools, measuring techniques and equipment, including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, bore gages, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), optical comparators, etc.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and technical data.
- Prior CMM operating & programming experience required. PCDmis experience a plus.
- High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience in QC role in similar environment or Associate or Technical certification with 5+ years’ experience in QC role in a similar environment
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $47.00 per hour
