A premier banquet hall offering an elegant venue for weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales & General Manager to lead our team, drive event sales, and oversee daily operations.
Job Summary:
The Sales & General Manager will be responsible for generating revenue through event sales while ensuring the smooth operation of the banquet hall. This role requires a strong leader with a background in hospitality sales, event management, and business operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage a team to deliver exceptional experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
Develop and execute a sales strategy to maximize bookings for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings.
Build and maintain relationships with event planners, vendors, corporate clients, and community organizations.
Conduct tours of the venue, showcasing amenities and services to potential clients.
Handle inquiries, proposals, negotiations, and contract execution to close event sales.
Identify new revenue opportunities and develop partnerships to increase bookings and brand visibility.
Maintain an updated CRM system to track leads, follow-ups, and customer interactions.
Operations & Team Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the banquet hall, ensuring high-quality service and seamless event execution.
Work closely with catering, event coordinators, and vendors to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance to maintain excellent service standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and local business regulations.
Handle customer concerns and complaints promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
Financial & Administrative Management:
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to optimize revenue and profitability.
Monitor cost controls and operational efficiency to maximize profitability.
Track sales performance metrics and provide reports to ownership/upper management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience (3+ years) in sales, event planning, hospitality, or banquet hall management.
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to close high-value contracts.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
Experience with event management software and CRM tools is a plus.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.
