ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong ability and desire to learn.
- Operate all traditional classical woodworking machinery safely and competently.
- Patience and attention to detail.
- Understanding of math and measurements.
- Mechanical / Technical aptitude a must.
- Must be able to operate machinery and tools safely.
- Operate a jointer, planer and shaper.
- Ability to frequently lift loads over 50 pounds.
- Be responsible for producing custom elements such as furniture, case work and other various architectural elements for commercial and residential spaces.
- Perform fabrication work - aligning, fitting, measuring, laying out and inspecting parts, marking cut lines, studying specifications, gathering materials, and operating machinery, cut parts, assemble/construct elements and install.
- Be responsible for maintaining an organized station cleaning up as you go.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience installing high-end and customized furniture, with experience sizing and cutting high-end melamine and lacquer.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Expert skill in using a variety of power tools.
- Ability to work independently and/or with a team, exercise good judgment and decision-making required.
- Physical ability to lift and transport extremely heavy furniture components; stand, squat, kneel for extended periods; access and mobility in tight spaces.
- Knowledge of CAD illustrations.
- Flexibility to manage changing priorities, short deadlines, and multiple tasks.
- Superior attention to detail, judgement, and communication skills.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include working outside the typical schedule of Mon – Fri and overtime.
Salary – Competitive and commensurate with work experience.
Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
