Job Title: Dental Assistant with X-Ray License

Job Summary: The Dental Assistant will be responsible for providing high-level patient care and support to the dentist during dental procedures. This role requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work efficiently, and a strong understanding of dental procedures and patient care. Fluency in Spanish is a must, as we serve a diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support: Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including exams, fillings, crowns, and extractions.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the process.
X-Ray Operation: Safely and accurately take dental x-rays as required, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Instrument Sterilization: Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA and infection control protocols.
Patient Records: Accurately record patient information and maintain up-to-date and organized patient records.
Post-Procedure Care: Provide patients with post-procedure instructions and care information, ensuring they understand their treatment and any follow-up requirements.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dental team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Office Maintenance: Assist with maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Language Support: Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients, ensuring they fully understand their care and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
X-Ray License: Must hold a current x-ray license.
Experience: A minimum of one year of experience in dental assisting.
Education: Associate degree in Dental Assisting or equivalent.
Language: Fluency in Spanish is required.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of dental procedures, instruments, and x-ray operations.
Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications: CPR certification preferred.
Technology: Familiarity with dental software systems (e.g., Open Dental ) is a plus.
