Job Title:Waiter/Waitress
Job Summary:
We are seeking an attentive and efficient Waiter/Waitress to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating an enjoyable dining experience for our customers by providing high-quality service in a friendly and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet and seat guests promptly.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and beverages.
- Answer questions and make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and drink orders and relay them to kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages promptly.
- Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.
2. Order Management:
- Utilize the POS system to enter orders and process payments.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
3. Food Safety and Cleanliness:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Set up dining areas before service and clean up after closing.
4. Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with kitchen staff and other wait staff to ensure smooth service.
- Assist colleagues during peak times and busy periods.
5. Additional Duties:
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
- Respond to customer complaints and provide appropriate solutions.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies.
- Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
