We are seeking a talented and passionate Line cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. The line cook will play a crucial role in supporting the Executive food production, and kitchen management.
Duties
Assist in the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation and cooking.
Manage inventory control to ensure that all ingredients are fresh and available.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and special events, including banquets.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
Monitor food production processes to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and kitchen protocols.
Help manage shift schedules to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Experience
Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role within a fine dining environment.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices.
Experience with inventory management and control systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Familiarity with dietary department requirements is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
