Key Environmental Inc. is an established and innovative environmental consulting firm specializing in the investigation, remediation, and redevelopment of environmentally challenged properties, as well as shale gas, utility, and other types of land development projects across the U.S.

KEY’s expanding workload and client base have created opportunities for staff-level engineers in our Raritan, NJ and Pittsburgh, PA, offices. We are currently seeking ambitious individuals with a B.S. or M.S. in the following fields:

Environmental Engineer

Civil Engineer (or similar) with Construction Management Emphasis

Civil Engineer (or similar) with Geology/Geotechnical Emphasis

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Staff-Level Engineer will work on a broad range of projects doing the following:

Perform construction oversight activities at various client sites throughout the United States including:

o Quality Control: ensure that all materials, workmanship, and construction techniques meet the highest standards of quality and are compliant with project-specific specifications

o Project Management: assist with project plans, schedules, and budgets

o Environmental Monitoring: monitor the construction site to maintain compliance with erosion and sediment control plans, air and noise monitoring, and environmental regulations to minimize the impact on the surrounding environment

Assist with design, engineering evaluations, project planning, permitting, and reporting activities;

Provide technical oversight, reporting, and occasional management of contractors for environmental-related activities;

Prepare technical reports that summarize data in a technically sound, clear, and precise manner;

Assist with business development activities such as preparing qualifications, cost analyses, proposals, and presentation materials; and,

Continually improve communication and technical skills with the goal of advancement.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Excellent computer skills with Excel, Word, technical analysis software, and other computer applications. Experience with Civil 3D or GIS applications is a plus.

Excellent writing and communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently, as well as in a project team and multi-task environment.

Must hold a valid U.S. driver’s license, maintain a good driving record, and pass a background check.

Must be willing and able to travel for projects as needed.

40-HR HAZWOPER training preferred.
