S&S Manufacturing is celebrating its 40th year as the industry's leading, highly diversified, custom architectural railing fabrication company. We design, engineer and fabricate ornamental non-ferrous metal and glass railings, privacy dividers, gates and architectural metal work for the construction trades serving New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
S&S Manufacturing has recently completed construction and moved into a brand new 53,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility which is the new home of our 40 employees including the design team, corporate headquarters and fabrication shop all centrally located under one roof in Marlboro, NJ.
We are currently seeking an experienced Architectural AutoCAD Drafter to join our expanding design team within our drafting department.
Responsibilities:
Create shop drawings from architectural drawings, sketches and field measurements on time and with accuracy
Prepare, detail and layout drawings and sketches utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD
Work collaboratively with design and engineering teams
Maintain project drawing files, logs and prints
Site surveys
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD software with 1+ years of experience in AutoCAD 2020 or later
Ability to read and interpret architectural design drawings and specifications
Storefront, miscellaneous iron, architectural metal or precast industry experience helpful
Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Advanced Steel and/or Tekla Structures experience is a plus
Excellent organizational skills are a must
Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, growing and changing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Detail-oriented
Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
