We are currently seeking a part-time candidate to join our team as a Financial Service Associate / Teller

-Requirements-

Follow all company policies, procedures, and requirements in addition to all state and federal laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC and USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Educate customers on various policies, procedures and related laws and regulations where applicable.

Check Cashing Tellers are responsible for providing high quality customer service with each customer transaction. Training is provided.

Effectively identifies and responds to customers’ needs.

Processes customer transactions including but not limited to cashing checks, money transfers and payouts, bill payments and prepaid cards; ensures all necessary information is in place prior to completing transactions.

Opens new customer accounts.

Ensures completion of customer transactions in a timely and courteous manner.

Establishes and maintains customer accounts by updating ID’s, addresses, phone numbers, etc.

Responds to customers’ inquiries regarding their accounts.

Promotes company's services by offering customers information on valuable services.

Sells money orders, postage stamps, inventory etc

Maintains a safe and secure work environment by following the company's safety/security policies and procedures.

Follows all Company’s cash handling procedures.

Keeps the Secure (teller) Area clean and tidy.

Performs light cleaning such as windows, sweeping/mopping the store lobby and the Secure Area as needed. All employees are also required to clean up after themselves including but not limited to the restroom and emptying trash bins.

Performs cash drawer opening and closing procedures at the beginning and the end of the shift; reconciles checks cashed, payments made and other transactions performed during his/her shift.

Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

-Must submit to fingerprinting and pass drug screening, background and credit checks.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

Stand for long periods of time.

Calculate figures and amounts.

Work at different stores as the need arises (floating). We have two locations, Ewing and Bordentown.

Work alone throughout the shift.

Open and close the store when required.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

High School diploma or the equivalent. Basic mathematical skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing) are required.

Retail/sales, cashier or other money-handling experience desired but willing to train.

Customer service orientation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Analytical and problem solving skills. Basic computer skills- Windows based applications and Teller POS workstations. Ability to use: Telephone, Fax, Copier, Calculator.
