Operations Manager (SEM 7)

Plan, manage, and integrate daily business operations for retail convenience store with three franchise locations, including marketing and market research, finance, information technology, personnel, and customer service, ensuring that the operations of the three franchises meet franchise goals and are integrated with each other and also align with the business objectives of the international brand. Duties include managing the market research function and analyzing sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improving offerings and increasing sales; developing and executing sales promotions, marketing strategies, and advertising campaigns; managing inventory and purchase orders to ensure proper supply of products based on demand and developing strong relationships with vendors and others in the supply chain; overseeing inventory audits; preparing and reviewing financial, sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and project sales, as well as determine profitability; preparing daily sales reports and deposits; handling cash, reconciling accounts, and preparing cash reports; managing and coordinating the activities of one assistant manager and four store associates, including preparing staff work schedules; ensuring hardware and software utilized by the company are appropriate for operations, selecting new technology as needed for optimal efficiency; and overseeing the customer service function to ensure customer satisfaction, develop and implement programs to increase customer loyalty, and resolve customer concerns regarding sales and service; training and mentoring staff; and utilizing data-driven insights to develop strategies for business growth, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.

PREVAILING WORKING CONDITIONS: Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. 10% of work time local travel to conduct site

walkthroughs for new potential contracts, meeting with property managers and subcontractors, and weekly agenda meetings.

LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT: East Brunswick, NJ. Approximately 10% of worktime required for local travel to visit all three

affiliated franchises, as well as to meet with vendors.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: (1) Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or finance. Employer will

accept foreign equivalent degree. (2) 24 months of experience in a business operations management position for a franchise or branch

office, including: (a) Managing daily business operations. (b) Developing and executing sales or marketing strategies to meet

branch/franchise goals as well as ensure alignment with the larger brand’s business objectives. (c) Monitoring and analyzing sales,

inventory, and financial performance. (d) Ensuring that customer service standards are satisfied. (e) Training and mentoring staff. (3)

Approximately 10% of worktime required for local travel to visit all three affiliated franchises, as well as to meet with vendors.
