Our client, a long-standing organization in the retail industry, is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$35/hr - $40/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Senior Bookkeeper will be taking on managing duties and leadership roles within the accounting and finance department. The Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for full cycle AR, AP, and any duties the Executive Director requests be handled.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR BOOKKEEPER:

Accounts payable including purchase orders and vendor account management

Accounts receivable including monthly invoices, and handling vendor records

Numerous bank reconciliations for depository accounts

Preparing monthly financial statements and reports

Assist with the annual budget and auditing process

Reconciliations including balance sheets and journal entries

Set up new vendor accounts

Prepare and review expense reports

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE SENIOR BOOKKEEPER:

Hands-on experience with SAGE, QuickBooks, or related software

3 years minimum of full charge bookkeeper or senior accountant experience

Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros)

Team player with strong analytical skills

Thrives in a collaborative environment

Ability to complete tasks promptly independent from supervisors

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or a related field and/or relative experience
