Our client is a highly reputable tax firm relentlessly dedicated toward delivering quality financial services in Central, New Jersey. They are seeking a hardworking and dynamic Investment Reconciliation Consultant for a short-term consulting project (3 to 6 weeks).

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$30 – $40/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This Investment Reconciliation Consultant position will require an experienced and detail-oriented professional adept at performing reconciliatory actions between investment data and financial records. The chosen Investment Reconciliation Consultant candidate will ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE INVESTMENT RECONCILIATION CONSULTANT:

Perform daily reconciliation of investment transactions and positions with various counter-parties and custodians

Identify, research, and correct discrepancies in investment data records in a timely manner

Collaborate with the Investment and Accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial records and accounts

Provide expertise relating to complex securities on financial statements

Monitor and resolve all issues arising from reconciliation function, minimizing risk exposure for the firm

Evaluate reconciliation processes and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Ensure all work is compliant with relevant government and industry regulations and standards

Prepare ad hoc reports as required by management or regulatory agencies

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE INVESTMENT RECONCILIATION CONSULTANT:

Proven experience in investment reconciliation or closely related role, preferably in a tax, investment or consulting firm

Proficiency in using financial systems and databases

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred but is not required
