CLIENT OVERVIEW:
Our client is a well established and growing non-profit organization that is looking to add a Grants Accountant. This organization is looking for someone professional that can work on a team just as effectively as they can work independently.
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$30 – $32/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Grants Accountant applicants must have strong attention to detail, and analytical skills. Looking for a Grants Accountant with previous experience in full cycle accounts payable, general accounting, and grant accounting experience. Minimum 2 to 4 years of experience in general accounting with non-profit and grants accounting experience is needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GRANTS ACCOUNTANT:
Matching, batching, coding, and entering invoices
Grants experience
Researching and resolving accounts payable with customers and vendors
Updating and reconciling sub-ledger to the general ledger
Non-Profit/Government accounting experience
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE GRANTS ACCOUNTANT:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable with independent work
Experience with ERP software is a plus
Strong Excel skills
Experience with non-profit and government software accounting experience is a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience is preferred
