CLIENT OVERVIEW:
Our client is a large and rapidly growing healthcare group looking for an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join and assist their ever-growing team!
SALARY/HOURLY RATE:
$28/hr - $32/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for the timely submission and follow-up of payer enrollment applications and credentialing applications for appointment and re-appointment to hospitals and Ambulatory Surgery Centers. Candidates must be motivated and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Experience is a must and there is internal room for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST:
Add, update, and maintain accurate provider information in CAQH, CredentialStream, and other tools commonly utilized for credentialing and payer enrollment
Work closely with providers, internal departments, and other team members to obtain necessary information for timely onboarding
Complete, submit, document, and pro-actively track and follow up on required credentialing, enrollment, and re-credentialing applications, paying close attention to details
Gather, compile, and continuously monitor information necessary for enrollment and credentialing purposes
Update and inform the department and other leadership of progress and issues using various means of communication
Research and respond to internal and external inquiries related to enrollment and credentialing issues
Maintain working knowledge of applicable regulations, policies, and procedures and understand specific application requirements for both facility credentialing applications and payer enrollment submission
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CREDENTIALING SPECIALIST:
3 - 5 years of experience
Experience in a medical service profession, payer enrollment, insurance plan, and revenue cycle
Organized and self-motivated
Knowledge of the credentialing process: the process, procedures, requirements, regulations, and policies
Problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, and appeals
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Experience in a high-volume setting
Ability to work independently and cohesively in a team setting
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
None required (Past comprehensive experience is a must)
