Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist for a position located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. This role involves processing and maintaining patient billing information, utilizing Microsoft Excel and other software for data management, and resolving billing-related inquiries. This role provides a short-term contract employment opportunity with potential for growth and development.Responsibilities: Accurately process patient billing information in a timely manner Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and manage billing data Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all patient billing activity Resolve billing-related inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate billing processes Utilize medical billing software to streamline billing processes and procedures Monitor patient accounts for timely payments and provide billing updates Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with privacy regulations Stay updated on current best practices in medical billing procedures and regulations Assist in other administrative duties as needed in the billing department.Requirements Applicant must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the role of Medical Billing Specialist or similar position Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical billing procedures and protocols is a must Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively liaise with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in medical billing Familiarity with medical terminology and coding is preferred High school diploma or equivalent education level is required; additional certification in Medical Billing may be advantageous Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team Problem-solving skills and ability to handle patient inquiries and disputes with professionalism and patience.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
