Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to join our team located in Camden, New Jersey. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the healthcare field. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be tasked with handling various billing functions and administration of claims, utilizing the EHR system and Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE). Responsibilities: Manage and process medical billing information accurately and efficiently. Utilize the EHR System to maintain and update patient records. Handle claim administration tasks, ensuring all claims are processed, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. Utilize Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) to facilitate data transfer and communication between software programs. Monitor patient accounts, identifying any irregularities or discrepancies and taking appropriate action. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines. Keep up-to-date with current billing practices and regulations. Provide support to the medical team, assisting with administrative tasks as needed. Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing matters, providing clear and comprehensive responses. Conduct regular audits of billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Requirements Proficiency in Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) is required. Experience with EHR SYSTEM is essential. Ability to perform Billing Functions effectively. Familiarity with Claim Administration processes. Solid experience in Medical Billing is necessary. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Good knowledge of medical terminology, regulations, and medical coding is desired. Proficiency in using computer software and applications related to the job.
