Our Client is a mid size MEP Engineering Firm seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer join their growing firm. They promote from within, with this Engineer expecting to grow into a Department Lead. They work on a large variety of projects with a very collaborative team. Full service A/E firm with multiple locations.Description:TOP 3 MUST HAVES:AutoCAD / RevitField SurveysElectrical Code (NEC, NFPA 70/101)RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct electrical design and analysis for a variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.

Perform field surveys to assess existing electrical systems, identify deficiencies, and propose solutions for improvement.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with mechanical and plumbing components.

Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, and reports using industry-standard software.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations throughout the design process.

Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters as needed.

Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and site visits to communicate project progress and address any concerns.

Review project documents, contracts, and proposals to ensure accuracy and feasibility of electrical designs.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in electrical engineering to continuously improve design processes and outcomes.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical design within the MEP industry.

Ability to obtain EIT/PE is highly preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

Familiarity with sustainable design principles and energy efficiency strategies is a plus.

Ability to travel to project sites as needed and possess a valid driver's license.
