Medical Billing Specialist

Description Robert Half is seeking Medical Billing Specialist in the Somerset County, NJ area. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will handle billing procedures for home, health, and hospice care, and work closely with the central scheduling department. If you have 1+ years of Medical Billing experience and are looking to grow your career, this might be the opportunity for you!Responsibilities: Execute billing operations for home, health, and hospice care services. Collaborate with the central scheduling department to ensure seamless billing processes. Utilize software to manage and update billing information. Handle authorizations related to billing efficiently. Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action as needed. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer credit applications. Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Resolve customer inquiries related to billing in a timely manner.Requirements At least 1 year of experience in Medical Billing is required. Proficiency in managing various billing functions is needed. Experience with authorizations is necessary. Capability to read, understand and adhere to medical billing guidelines and procedures. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry is expected. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously are essential. Proficient computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office, are required. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are important. Ability to work independently as well as in a team is needed. A strong understanding of medical terminology is required. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality is essential. Knowledge of insurance procedures and regulations is necessary. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus. Candidates with a certification in Medical Billing are preferred.
