We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world. #WeAreLillyPosition Overview:The Manager - Warehouse reports to the Associate Director-Warehouse and is responsible for technical support for activities within Lilly Branchburg Manufacturing Warehouse Group.As a member of the Warehouse team the candidate will be required to perform a wide variety of support activities and functions while supporting a GMP manufacturing facility.This role will be responsible for assuring compliance with Lilly's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) along with all applicable worldwide regulations and guidelines (e.g. FDA).Responsibilities:

Supports day to day execution of warehousing activities, ensuring compliance with applicable corporate policies and procedures, regulatory requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Provides technical support and leadership of GMP investigations and changes associated with warehouse operating area.

Assures that the area is ready at all times for a regulatory inspection, including that documentation complies with standards and that opportunities related to housekeeping and facility fit and finish are identified, reported, and corrected.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives from concept to completion.

Trained Lead Investigator tasked with completing deviations owned by the Material Management Process Team.

Develops and revise procedures as required and participate in efforts to assure that practice matches procedure.

Complies with the safety goals and objectives of the organization.

Ensures and maintains orderly flow of materials from warehouse to offsite locations and/or to other Lilly sites.

Works in collaboration with Global Logistics and Import/Export Compliance teams to coordinate specialized shipments.

Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on imports, exports, DOT and IATA for transportation of dangerous goods. This includes instructional support to staff for intercompany movements in SAP.

Prepares international shipments with export documentation and tracks all inbound international deliveries

Works with Operations Planning team to ensure visibility of shipping schedule to Warehouse group.

Responsible for identifying Warehouse & Logistics challenges and opportunities, leading projects to eliminate non-value-added waste and drive improved performance.

Generates and prepares data in support of audits of internal SOX controls and external financial auditors (e.g. Cycle Counting).

Interacts with Operations Planning, Procurement, Quality, Finance and other departments related to inventory control and order processing.

Provides SAP training to other warehouse team members on an as needed basis.

Acts as a backup to lead warehouse operations in Warehouse Supervisor's absence.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering or Business)

5+ years’ experience required with strong understanding of shipping and receiving, inventory management and dispensing of materials in a GMP regulated environment (pharma industry preferred)

ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Experience with the coordination and management of international shipments

Incumbent must possess strong technical/analytical skills and good business sense

Strong teamwork orientation required

A self-starter who possesses intellectual curiosity, proven track record to deep dive, root cause, and drive business improvements.

Must be highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize projects and tasks

Strong PC skills (MS Office Suite, especially Excel)

APICS/CPIM knowledge/certification preferred
