Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Somerville, New Jersey. Working in the industry of finance and accounting, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, including payroll and accounts payable. This role involves handling data entry tasks, making use of various software such as QuickBooks, SAP, and Oracle, and ensuring accurate record keeping.Responsibilities: Handle payroll processing for employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis Manage accounts payable by ensuring timely payment of invoices Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records Utilize software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for financial management Conduct account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy Manage billing tasks to ensure timely revenue collection Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial data management and analysis Handle invoice processing tasks efficiently Manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation and accounts payable (AP) practices. Demonstrated experience working with accounts receivable (AR) and billing. Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks software. Knowledge of SAP system. Experience in payroll processing. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Relevant educational background such as a degree in accounting or finance.
