Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant - Entry Level at our Bloomingdale, New Jersey location. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including data entry, account reconciliation, and handling accounts payable and receivable. This role is integral to maintaining our financial records and supporting our financial decisions.Responsibilities: Accurately process customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records Manage data entry tasks efficiently Handle accounts receivable duties, including entering cash receipts, responding to emails and phone calls, and running reports Perform accounts payable tasks such as processing purchase orders and invoicing Utilize accounting software systems to perform various accounting functions and entries Conduct account coding and account analysis as needed Use Microsoft Excel for various tasks and reports Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as necessary Collaborate with the team and assist in other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding Familiarity with Accounting Software Systems Ability to perform Account Analysis Knowledge of Accounting Entries and Accounting Functions Experience in Account Reconciliation Understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, IT and numerical abilities Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information High level of integrity and professionalism Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously Familiarity with financial regulations and legislation.
