If you want to make an impact on a global scale, come make a difference at Fiserv.Job TitleSenior Mainframe Cobol DeveloperWhat does a successful Senior Mainframe Cobol Developer do at Fiserv?We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mainframe Cobol Developer to join our Back Office Core Processing team. You will bring to life the systems that power our credit card processing applications. Your will interact with cross-functional teams, including Application Development teams, Product Managers, Project Managers, Global Infrastructure Operations (GIO) resources, and Client/Partner IT resources. You will leverage your experience in mainframe development and support, particularly with COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and Batch processes. This role involves development, testing, and on-call production support.What you will do:

Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL

Provide support for development and testing environments to ensure smooth application deployment

Provide on-call production support for mainframe applications, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions

Utilize Broadcom tools (CA7, Endevor, etc.) for job scheduling, version control, and application management

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs

Conduct code reviews and participate in system testing to ensure high-quality deliverables

Document technical specifications and maintain detailed records of system configurations and changes

Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mainframe technologies and tools

What you will need to have:

7+ years of current experience in mainframe development and support

7+ years of experience in COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and Batch processing

1+ years of experience with Broadcom tools such as CA7 and Endevor

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

CICS online application development

REXX experience

Experience supporting credit card processing systems/applications
