All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration. The Mental Health Associate will demonstrate the Barnabas Health philosophy to Total Quality Management by actively applying that philosophy in all dealings with both internal and external customers.Qualifications:Required:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or related field preferred or a Bachelor's degree with one year of relevant work experience interacting with patients and the community

Current BLS certification or successful completion of required training to attain certification within three months of the start date.

Preferred:Certifications and Licenses required (if applicable):

Essential Functions:

Maintains unit safely and facilitates daily activity of the patients

Assists patients in activities of daily living

Conduct rounds

Records accurate and timely clinical documentation

Assists in code responses as per policy and by training

Assists in securing patients' belongings
