AIX Developer (Contractor)

RESPEC is seeking a part-time contract AIX Developer to support key federal IT clients. This role involves maintaining and enhancing AIX-based systems in a secure, regulated environment. Ideal for experienced professionals looking to contribute on a flexible, part-time basis. U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance are required.Responsibilities:Design and implement scripts, utilities, and applications on AIX platforms.Administer AIX systems: installation, patching, performance tuning, and monitoring.Create and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, Perl) to reduce manual tasks.Troubleshoot complex issues in AIX environments and perform root cause analysis.Ensure system security in compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and federal standards.Collaborate in Agile/DevOps teams and clearly communicate technical solutions.
