About the role: We seek self-motivated applicants, who possess good communication skills and can work unsupervised, as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work to the school buildings and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the school community. Click here to view the Position Profile.Key Responsibilities:  Ensure building systems and machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning, pumpsUndertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks, windows & light bulbs, patching holes, woodwork repairsPerform routine maintenance of equipmentEstimate repair costs and document repairs undertakenHandle, store, and distribute goods/materialsMove equipment/furniture as requiredUpkeep school grounds e.g. mowing, pruning, weeding, planting, disposing of litterAssist with school improvements e.g. fencing, paving, & gardening projectsComplete daily grounds maintenance reportsTrain new employees in groundskeeping dutiesDrive school vehicles as required.About the School: Aspect Western Sydney School provides placement for approximately 160 students on the autism spectrum from Kindergarten to year 12.
