Work in a supportive team environmentLove what you do and leave your markA pivotal role within the Finance functionFinancial Account- Leasing To assist in the management of the day-to-day lease obligation calculation and AASB 16 lease accounting processes and reporting for Endeavour Group Ltd ensuring they are completed with integrity and accuracy and in a timely manner.Sounds good? Read on.Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:Implement agreed policies and procedures to improve integrity of data.Respond to business initiatives to ensure financial accounting activities are implemented.To develop a proactive approach towards the businessPerform the turnover rent calculation as per the turnover rent clause and turnover certificate.Review the AASB16 events and ensure the accounting recognition is properly updated accordingly in a timely manner.Liaise with the landlord on any issues with turnover rent calculation.Prepare and post lease accounting journals including depreciation, interest charges, asset and liability movements in line with AASB16 requirements.Prepare and review short-term and low-value lease entries.Prepare and post journals for lease re-measurement, new leases acquisitions and lease surrenders.Review and update system settings relevant to lease accountingPrepare balance sheet and reconciliations, investigate and review outstanding reconciliations and prepare journals for rectification, where required.Respond to financial enquiries by gathering, analysing, summarising and interpreting data.Assist with information gathering to support the internal budgeting and forecasting processes
