Information Technology is looking for a dynamic individual to join the DCX (Digital Customer Experience) Technology Solutions team of Business Systems Delivery as a Sitecore Administrator/Developer. The company is undergoing an ambitious initiative to redefine the customer experience across our digital channels, including web and mobile, for both CECONY and O&R. This multi-year program will improve the company’s capabilities in the areas of governance, business process, and technology. As a result of this effort, several new fundamental technology capabilities will be implemented, including a web experience management system, identity & access management system, preference management, live chat, and surveys. Access to back end systems will be accomplished via web services. Some of these components will be hosted in the cloud. This opportunity allows the selected candidate to join a new team implementing cutting edge technology capabilities in support of a key company initiative. With the successful launch of our new public facing sites, the team has a need for an individual to support the administration and maintenance of our high-availability Sitecore CMS environment. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science, with at least five years of experience in the IT field. The candidate must have a strong background in supporting commercial off the shelf products, particularly with experience in day to day administration, maintenance, and monitoring activities. The candidate must demonstrate a strong desire to learn new technology and industry best practices. The candidate must possess the skills and ability to learn quickly, assimilate new concepts and think analytically. The candidate must be willing to augment their education with courses beyond their undergraduate degree and/or certifications in tools and technologies. The successful candidate will be a team player who understands the critical role of DCX Technology Solutions to the success of the department and the company.The candidate is expected to be a team player. The candidate will work on the DCX program supporting our Sitecore CMS. In addition, the selected candidate will support other systems in support of DCX, such as Identity & Access Management and APIs. This will involve maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting the hardware and products that drive these products. In addition, the candidate will perform development activities, such as the creation of new forms, and assist teammates with Sitecore questions. Ideally, the candidate would also have the following qualifications:

Sitecore certification.

Experience developing in .NET.

Experience setting up and supporting high availability environments.

Experience supporting complex enterprise environments running a mixture of technologies; including hybrid (mix of on premise and cloud) topologies.

Experience integrating monitoring tools, such as Splunk or Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, into complex environments.

Able to transfer knowledge to peers and subordinates.

At least 2 years implementing technology to support business processes or adapting business process to take advantage of technology.

At least five years of experience and a proven ability to work with infrastructure and mission critical systems.

The candidate will be responsible for the Sitecore CMS environment. This will include, but not be limited to: Work with infrastructure and monitoring teams to ensure that the Sitecore environment remains healthy, appropriate monitoring is in place, and the environment is sized to meet business requirements.

Development and maintenance of code supporting the Web Experience Management Platform

Perform system upgrades and patches.

Drive configuration management and automated build processes forward to ensure controlled and successful migrations between environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the environments as necessary.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and drills.

Provide 24x7 “on call” support.

Work with vendors to configure and install products. Support and maintain vendor packages in production, performing and testing application changes as necessary. Prepare changes for production implementation and develop contingency plans. Ensure vendor packages comply with Company technology standards and practices.

Manages the transitioning of products and services into an operational management state.

Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Physical Requirements:Candidate must be able to follow the company safety, health and environmental programs. Ensures that safe work practices are followed and the environment is fully protected in accordance with Company policy and governmental regulations. Candidate should be available to be on call and/or participate in off-hour system maintenance and troubleshooting. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel within the O&R and CECONY service territory as required.
