Job Description:

ISN is actively recruiting a skilled Personnel Security Specialist to provide onsite support for our federal customer's personnel security operations. This role requires a full-time, onsite presence and an active Q clearance. The specialist will contribute to achieving the operational objectives of the security division, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines and agency-specific directives.Key Responsibilities:Personnel Security Adjudication: Review, evaluate, and adjudicate reports of investigation, personnel files, and other records to determine eligibility for security clearances, including granting, denying, revoking, suspending, or restricting clearances.Regulatory Compliance: Perform intake and review of information reports following 10 CFR 710, agency-specific orders, executive orders, and other national and local directives, identifying and evaluating derogatory and mitigating information.HSPD-12 Eligibility Processing: Provide expertise and complete all necessary services for Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) processing.Clearance Package Management: Review clearance packages for initial clearances and reinvestigations to ensure compliance with procedures, policies, and precedents. Transmit reviewed packages to investigative agencies, process investigations, and support help desk operations.Document Processing: Review and process a variety of security-related documents, including clearance extensions, transfers, reinstatements, reciprocity, terminations, and incident reports.Administrative Support: Perform administrative tasks such as room and conference scheduling, clerical support, database management, and spreadsheet updates.Data Entry: Create and update personnel security records using the security database and facilitate e-QIP processes.Correspondence Management: Prepare draft and final correspondence related to personnel security activities, including forms, letters, and memorandums.Mail Station Management: Maintain mail processing functions, including classified mail handling and ensuring timely distribution to authorized recipients.
