Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES

  • To provide quality and timely fabrication inspection and certification services to our customers for the Industrial Regulatory Team in the Rotorua/Taupo region.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

  • The provision to customers of fabrication inspection services for pressure vessels and piping.
  • Ongoing training towards qualifications in boilers, pressure vessels, cranes, and other industrial equipment in accordance with the Company’s Management Manuals and the provisions of the Health and Safety at Work Act (2015); Pressure Equipment, Cranes and Passenger Ropeways Regulations and/or other non-statutory / regulatory requirements, fulfilling the responsibilities and authorities assigned to the role as detailed in the Management Manuals
  • Identify and assist in developing and securing both new business and new business opportunities
  • To ensure your work is error free and to ensure the appropriate people are made aware of the time, resources and training considered necessary to maintain quality levels and compliance.
  • Identify internal and external customers, determine and agree their requirements and ensure the output meets the agreed standards
  • Comply with SGS quality and safety policiesand objectives at all times
  • To undertake the required training and registrations as necessary to maintain certification and technical competency always
  • To issue certificates of inspection and other similar documentation according to your authority to sign

Qualifications

PROFILE

Requires training and qualifications such as:

  • CBIP Certified Welding Inspector
  • A diploma in engineering from a recognised training establishment or Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Engineering/relevant Technology or Science or a1st Class Marine Engineer’s Certificate (preferable)
  • Experience infabricationexperience would be an advantage

  • A full and current New Zealand driver license
