Description Robert Half is reviewing candidates for a renowned services company for an ambitious, determined Controller. As the Controller, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. This permanent position is for a Controller who will work in the Seacoast NH area.Major responsibilities
Be the point person for all financial information with accurate and timely reporting to all of the key managers, banking relationships and key stakeholders.
Assess and approve the credit limits of our customers and related relationships to allow the company to grow
Develop a budgeting process and publish annually an operating budget one month prior to the fiscal year end through collaboration or coordination with key managers in the organization
Maintain continuous cash flow management through the budgeting process, actual or anticipated sales or purchasing needs and through ongoing banking communication concerning the needs of the business.
Provide key performance indicators for the key managers that support the financial goals and annual budget and publish and monitor those KPIs as needed but at least monthly.
Work with our audit team and our banking contact to provide any and all audited financial reports and information needs consistent with our time line
Ensure that our vendor relationships are maintained consistent with our core values and with well communicated financial activities that builds confidence with our vendor relationships
Requirements
Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Command of budget forecasting
Strong familiarity with International business relations
Solid understanding of month end closings
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Detailed and have the ability work independently
