Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Plymouth, New Hampshire. This role involves a focus on receipt matching, making it essential to the maintenance of our financial records and the timely payments to our vendors. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the telecom industry.Responsibilities: Ensure accurate matching of receipts to invoices to maintain the integrity of our financial records. Track down missing receipts, scan them in, and upload them into our accounting system. Use accounting software systems to streamline and automate the accounts payable process. Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data and monitor payment trends. Handle the full cycle of accounting functions, especially those related to accounts payable. Perform data entry tasks to keep all financial information up-to-date and accurate. Investigate any discrepancies in invoices and receipts and resolve them promptly. Collaborate with other team members to complete objectives and tasks as needed. Maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial information. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) Proficiency in Data Entry Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies in accounting records Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Attention to detail and ability to multitask Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Strong problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
