The Team

The People and Culture Team is a thriving team in Australia's leading media company. Our business priorities are the substance for our people and culture initiatives. We ensure truly embedded business partnering with all our leaders enabling them to produce amazing outcomes and drive our business forward.

The Role

The People and Culture Business Partner will work within our Sales and Finance businesses, reporting into the Head of People and Culture. You will play a critical role in delivering strategy, supporting senior leadership team, building capability and managing change as we integrate our businesses by driving business outcomes through people initiatives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with leaders across Sales and Finance, providing daily advice
  • Working with the Head of People and Culture to deliver the people strategy
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to People Leaders (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Partner with business leadership to identify opportunities to attract, develop and retain people to achieve their potential
  • Lead organisational development activities to develop and enhance current organisational capabilities.
  • Support our leaders through change and transition in a time of current business integration.
  • Work with the broader People and Culture team to support companywide initiatives.
  • Support individual and team development as well as provide guidance to support the high growth and need to become more efficient and effective
  • Maintain high service level for the business through constant communication and timely support
  • Work on long term projects to transform our business.

Qualifications

About You

  • Strong understanding of strategic role of HR in the business and demonstrated capacity to align actions with bigger picture.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating with and influencing Executives and Senior Managers ensuring proactive and commercially focussed HR solutions that align business needs and people strategy.
  • Experience in the identification, design and delivery of learning and development.
  • Knowledge of best practice principles for people practices including employee relations, recruitment, reward, performance management, talent development and engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading change initiatives and managing projects.
  • Experience in development of HR metrics and associated reports
  • Confident presenter and written communicator – able to adapt style and influence culture through communications

Desirable experience & skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline.
  • Experience in a specialist discipline – e.g. learning and development, remuneration and benefits, recruitment, employee relations.
