Job Summary:As an HVAC/R Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and refrigeration units, in both residential and commercial settings. You will work directly with customers, diagnose system issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Maintenance: Install, service, and repair heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations.

Troubleshooting & Diagnosis: Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems, using industry-standard tools and diagnostic equipment to identify problems.

Customer Service: Communicate with customers to understand their HVAC needs, provide recommendations, and explain the repair/maintenance process clearly.

System Inspections: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to optimize system performance and prevent future breakdowns.

Repairs & Replacements: Repair or replace malfunctioning HVAC components, such as compressors, motors, thermostats, and air handlers.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of services provided, parts used, and customer interactions in compliance with company procedures.

Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, local building codes, and regulations to ensure safe and effective HVAC system operation.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.

Certification: Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA 608, NATE) or equivalent preferred. NH Gas Fitters License or Trainee.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems, components, and industry best practices.

Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair techniques for heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.

Tools & Equipment: Ability to use and maintain necessary HVAC tools and equipment.

Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.

Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various weather conditions, and access tight spaces.

License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (if applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with energy-efficient or smart HVAC systems.

Knowledge of local codes and regulations regarding HVAC installations and repairs.

Bilingual (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.
