Reporting to the Manager, Curriculum Development and Customer Success, the Product Trainer will primarily support the BDR Academic sales team by providing product training to the sales teams and leading product demonstrations and training efforts for current and potential customers and will provide occasional support in the K12 market.

Responsibilities:

Provide in-house training including, but not limited to, demos, scripts, and guides on BDR resources to members of the Academic sales team

Conference and site visit prep for Academic sales team with suggestions of key search terms, elevator pitches, and other site functionality to highlight

Provide product demonstrations to current and potential customers as requested by the customer or the sales team

Prepare and save full product demos and quick overview presentations that can be sent to customers

Support all resources with planned monthly demos in conjunction with specific outreach to subject librarians

Provide occasional Professional Development support in the K12 market under the direction of the Manager, Curriculum Development and Customer Success

Support renewal business with bespoke trainings and demos for current customers designed to boost usage at their institutions

Attend virtual and occasional in-person meetings and conferences with account manager team

Attend meetings with Product, Editorial, and Marketing teams to help develop in-house and customer facing training and guides for current and upcoming resources

Compile and share customer feedback with relevant departments

Monitor internal product email lists to assist in answering product queries from the sales team

Stay up to date on market trends and competitor offerings and provide analysis to the sales team

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor’s Degree

Experience of presenting complex products to customers, both remotely and in-person

Excellent knowledge of emerging trends and issues in the academic marketplace, in particular in relation to digital products and library sales

A customer-facing approach, a willingness to roll up sleeves, and a keen appreciation of the importance of customer relations and service to the success of the business

Ability to travel up to 20%

This role is fully remote and is open to candidates located in the following East Coast states: CT, FL, GA, IL, MI, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, SC, TN, VA
