Overview:
Responsible for soliciting and maintaining/increasing business for all Loon products. As a guest-focused organization, a crucial part of each employees' job is to get and keep guests.
Responsibilities:
Increase individual and group (domestic and international) travel to Loon, new and repeat business solicitation using sales database, research and prospecting calls
Professional attire, demeanor along with a can-do attitude each and every day
Book, coordinate and fulfill winter & summer day groups, events, weddings and other social functions
Coordinate fulfillment of groups, events, weddings and social functions booked, to include communication and coordination with other departments; creation of function sheets detailing all group or function details, including dates, times, venues, activities, menus, special arrangements, etc.; printing tickets
Expedite groups requiring lodging to area lodging properties
Coordinate bulk and consignment ticket programs with offsite locations (lodging properties, ski and sport shops), including account reconciliation
Ensure timely payment for groups and functions; posting of payments to point of sale
Maintain sales reports including pace and actualized sales reports by market segment, as well as various other reports that help us track our business on a day to day and year over year basis
Utilizing the software Delphi to produce function sheets, calendars and sales reports
Represent and promote resort through public presentations at functions, ski clubs, etc.
Organize and execute familiarization trips to generate more individual & group business
Represent Loon at consumer shows for both summer and winter business
Generate new ideas for developing new business for all areas of the resort
Outside sales calls, visits, email and snail mail correspondence
Conduct site tours with prospective clients, including weddings
Build awareness for all the Boyne Resorts cooperative programs
Work to build tour operator and travel agent business, domestic and international
Community involvement, i.e. network within the local community
Ensuring all sales materials are current and up to date
Attend and participate at sales and marketing meetings on a regular basis
Contribute to the team effort by participating in job sharing (when doing so will not interfere with the delivery of services to groups), assuming responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and safety of guests and employees: accepting diverse assignments: maintain a positive and friendly attitude and demeanor in all internal and external interactions
Maintain sales contacts and data in Delphi/Salesforce system
Qualifications:
4-year college degree. Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 2 years sales experience. Hospitality sales background preferred.
