Application Requirements & Essential Functions for a Warehouse Assistant Manager:
Oversee and support day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory control and order fulfillment
Assists in supervising, training, and mentoring a team of 25–30 warehouse staff
Assist in the hiring process and conduct performance evaluations
Ensure safety procedures and operational protocols are followed
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate distribution
Provide support during weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
Communicate effectively via email, phone, and in person to lead and coordinate the team
Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage a team and also work independently
Positive attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other basic computer applications
A college degree is preferred but not required
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card is a plus
General Summary:
Kittery Trading Post is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager for our Dover, NH distribution center. This position plays a key role in the daily supervision and operational management of our warehouse. We are looking for an energetic, hands-on leader who is eager to learn all facets of warehouse operations and team management. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with strong leadership qualities and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Manager. Qualified candidates must be available to work Sundays-Thursdays between the hours of 6:30am-4pm (exact schedule TBD).
