Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity ReStore, located in Newington, NH, is seeking a full time employee for the position of Cashier/Volunteer Coordinator. Approximate hours will be five days per week, Tuesday - Saturday, from 8:45AM - 5:15PM each day.

This position is in a fun, fast paced, ever changing environment – a sense of humor is a must! We are seeking a candidate who does not want to sit behind a desk all day but wants to be part of this dynamic team and interact with staff, volunteers and customers, who also brings strong computer experience.

Requirements & responsibilities include:

Cash Register Operations and Customer Service

● Accurately and efficiently operate cash register according to procedures

● Exceptional customer service and good verbal communication skills

● Demonstrate a positive attitude

● Greet walk-in customers

● Help customers by phone or on the sales floor

● Ensure customers are assisted with purchases

● Maintain product knowledge, policies and up-to-date information on sales

● Work with staff and volunteers to prepare merchandise for sale – clean, test, price, and research items

● Help keep the ReStore clean and organized

● Other duties as needed and directed

● Background check required

Volunteer Coordinator

● Must be PC literate with proficiency in email, spreadsheets, and word processing - Adobe Express, Constant Contact, Google, Microsoft Office, and WordPress

● Schedule, coordinate and assign volunteers accordingly

● Ensure that all volunteers have completed their paperwork

● Provide documentation for community service hours

● Maintain volunteer databases and provide monthly and quarterly reports

● Act as liaison to other organizations who are sending volunteers

● Ability to efficiently work with all levels on the ReStore team and Habitat’s affiliate office
