RdF Corporation, a manufacturing company in Hudson, NH, seeks an experienced machinist with manual lathe and CNC experience.
Responsibilities of Machinist:
Under supervision, sets up and operates conventional machines and machining centers to machine metallic and nonmetallic precision parts.
Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut.
Starts and observes machines operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required. Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Supervisor or lead person verifies set up is correct.
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
Requirements of Machinist:
Experience working with manual lathe machines and CNC machines.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check.
Schedule:
Position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with benefits after 90 days.
Desirable 9/80 shift with alternating Fridays off.
