Seeking hands-on caregiver/companion for my father that lives in Hollis, NH. He is 85 years of age, uses a walker most of the time, and is in reasonably good health for someone of his age. He has Parkinson's and has balance problems. He still does the yard work on a 5-acre lot. We are looking for a caregiver to stay with him and provide assistance with day-to-day tasks, such as cooking and cleaning, helping him in the mornings and evenings, and being present in case of a fall. Will need to assist with ADL's, such as bathing, dressing etc. Room in a very nice 4 bedroom house with a private bath would be provided. Experience working with a disabled person is beneficial.
Some of the requirements we are looking for: experience with patients with Parkinson's, sufficient time to spend with the patient, adequate professional training on the topic of elder care, and a good rapport with him. Must be an adult who can pass a criminal record background check and provide references. No smoking environment.
