Schedule: 8 hours/week
2 days/week: 10:00am - 2:00pm (Bethlehem)
- Additional hours may be available in the future in Plymouth, Conway, and Berlin.
This role is a critical part of the quantitative drug testing analysis performed at addiction treatment programs. You will be responsible for efficiently and safely obtaining urine samples from patients, entering patient information into the electronic requisition form and packaging and shipping all specimens to the laboratory for the purpose of analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
ï¼ Facilitate the collection, processing and shipping of urine specimens.
ï¼ Collect urine specimens from patients.
ï¼ Follow departmental policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained.
ï¼ Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment.
ï¼ Demonstrate customer service & compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff.
ï¼ Communicate with, understand, and react effectively to a diverse patient population base.
ï¼ Follow Universal Precautions and all OSHA standards when handling specimens.
ï¼ Strictly adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
ï¼ Inform Supervisor of low volume shifts, unusual problems or deviations from established procedures.
ï¼ Maintain neat, clean, orderly patient/work areas at all times.
ï¼ Order processing & office supplies as needed.

ï¼ Strong customer service skills
ï¼ Reliable with a strong work ethic
ï¼ Strong computer skills must be able to work in multiple programs and windows, manage email and reports
ï¼ Fast and accurate data entry
ï¼ Communicate clearly and concisely with accuracy, credibility and confidence.
ï¼ At least 3 months of healthcare experience preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
ï¼ Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
ï¼ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
ï¼ Physical activities include frequent walking, sitting, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting and squatting.
