We are seeking a dedicated Cook/Dishwasher to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensuring food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts and thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing ingredients
- Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, and mixers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas
- Adhere to food safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Support the culinary team in catering events and special functions
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation
- Follow proper procedures for waste disposal and recycling
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and meal preparation
- Familiarity with food safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment
