We are currently seeking a highly motivated senior-level Highway Engineer to join our Infrastructure Division in Concord, NH. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in highway design, and a willingness and desire to lead and expand the highway team. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
10 - 15 years of highway design experience
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer registration
Strongly proficient in AutoCAD / Civil 3D / MicroStation / InRoads
State DOT design experience
Knowledge of highway design standards and regulations
Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and grow the highway team
Create design plans and technical specifications for multiple jurisdictions
Perform calculations using Excel and/or MathCad
Generate hydraulic calculations for stormwater design
Prepare construction cost estimates
Interpret agencies’ standard drawings and specifications
Write technical reports
Prepare documents for federal, state, and local permits
Assist the team with quality assurance
