Preschool in the Village is seeking a Lead Teacher for the next school year to share learning experiences indoors and on the playground with a class of 4-year-olds. This Lead Teacher will partner with an associate to engage children in activities that support emerging skills and will foster social and emotional development through the use of positive guidance. They are responsible for curriculum planning and preparation, classroom management, and professional communication with parents. This Teacher must be observant and self-directed, adaptable to changes in the daily routine, and able to work cooperatively with others.
PIV is a non-profit early learning center that offers morning programs for children ages 3 to 5 years old during the school year, September-June. PIV has supported young children and their families since 1996. (www.preschoolinthevillage.org)
Interested candidates must have 18 college credits in early childhood or elementary education, and at least 2 years of teaching experience in a classroom, after school program, summer camp, or daycare setting. Please respond with a cover letter and detailed resume.
