Manager, Field Operations NBC & Telemundo New York

The NBCU Local Technology & Operations organization provides the Technology & Workflow Solutions, Support, Media Operations, Production, Studio and Facilities services that power NBCU Local content creation and distribution.We are looking for a Manager, Field Operations to join the Operations team in New York / New Jersey supporting WNBC (NBC 4) / WNJU (Telemundo 47).  As the Manager, Field Operations you will be primarily responsible for day-to-day logistics as well as newsgathering and remote production planning within our Field Operations Department. If you love working in news, enjoy leading teams, and want to make a positive impact while being a part of a high performing team providing exceptional service and working with leading edge newsgathering technology, you could be the perfect match for our team.Job Responsibilities:Provide processes, resourcing, and guidance to ensure team objectives & SLAs are met.Develop & maintain strong stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective communication.Coach and develop team members throughout their career journeyAssist with logistical and technical planning of all remote productions including site surveys.Ability to assist photojournalists in basic troubleshooting of cameras, editing and live shots.Coordinate, facilitate and track repair of gear and News fleet as needed.Research, recommend and budget new technologies related to newsgathering.Oversee a team of Duopoly Photojournalists.Participate in daily editorial meetings and division monthly newsgathering callAll other Duties as assignedRequired onsite. This position is required to be performed full time onsite from an NBCUniversal designated work site and be On-Call 24/7/365.
